Salam Alaikum wa Rahmatullah. May you all be in the best state of health and faith.
Kindness, is a small word used in our lives quite frequently. But what's its significance? Why do kindness matters a lot? Everything in this world has a reason behind that. \"Be good to others\" definately means something. If Allah asked us to serve the humanity, love His creation and care for others, it's our farz to do so. And kindess is for sure required to have peace and harmony in the world. And to make it a place worth-living.
The best way
to be good with others is through our language. \"A
person speaks his mind\". To show the optimism and
kindness of your mind, all you need to do is speak
well. As Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said,\"No
man can be a Muslim unless other Muslims are safe
from his hand and tounge.\" No matter how good you
are in the deeds for ALLAH, being kind towards HIS
creation is an obligation. One form of being good is
\'controlling yourself from insulting others.\'. If
you see one person doing something wrong, you are not
duty bound to insult him right infront of everyone.
What he is doing is his deed. But if you find it too
wrong then you should go to that person, or find a
moment alone with him. Tell him in a very polite way
that what he was doing was not a good deed to be
done. Or what he said was against Islamic rules. From
Holy Prophet\'s time, we find so many situations like
this. And his patience and love has always been a
remarkable example for all human beings. Not
everytime you have to be angry or out of mind. Just
like when there was a non Muslim who started
urinating in the mosque. When companions of Holy
Prophet peace be upon him saw that, they wanted to
beat that man. But Holy Prophet peace be upon him
stopped them and asked not to react so angrily. He
let him finish. Took him to a side and told him very
calmly that this is not the right place to do such an
act.
As Holy Prophet peace be upon him said\"It is unworthy of a believer to injure people''s reputations; to curse any one; to abuse any one; and to talk arrogantly.\" This hadith of Holy Prophet peace be upon him describes a lot. And all of the qualities mentioned above are the best ways to improve our lives, other people's lives and most of all, the whole world. He, peace be upon him, is a wonderful example of being patient and kind. Someone said to the Prophet, 'Pray to God against the idolators and curse them. The Prophet replied, \'I have been sent to show mercy and have not been sent to curse.\' And ALLAH has given him the title of \'Rehamtul lil \'Alamin\', mercy for both the worlds. On the day Holy Prophet came back to Makkah, his kindness was shown on his face. Some people describe it as \"With the humble enlightened face looking down, he entered the land of Makkah.\"
Most of all was his forgiving the murderer of Hazrat Zainab, May ALLAH be pleased with her, Holy Prophet\'s (peace be upon him) own daughter. Nothing is more important to a father then his daughter. But how one should react to a situation like this? No better than what Holy Prophet peace be upon him did. How beautifully he forgave him. For sure he did what he said, Narrated Jarir bin ‘Abdullah: Allah’s Messenger said, “Allah will not show mercy to him who does not show mercy to others.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)\"
To gain ALLAH's mercy and forgiveness, we need to have a soft heart with lots of patience. Just with some words we can win a person's trust. Being calm can lead us to heaven, the blessing we pray for. No matter we be rewarded in our life for what we do. But its a certain truth that kindness never goes in vain. ALLAH will, for sure, reward us on the day of judgement. Not every single day we get oppurtunites to prove our love for Islam. So whenever there is a chance, just avail it. And as Holy Prophet peace be upon him said,\"The brave among you is the one who controls his anger.\"
Let's make it our aim not to curse anyone, or degrade anyone as everyone has his own value. And to respect others is the only way we can be respected.
Pray, help, speak well and be humble are one of so many ways to be on the right path that will undoubtedly make our life and Akhira blessed.
May ALLAH bless us all.
